For a home installation is there any difference between the two.
Ubiquiti unifi remove wall mount.
Hi i have tried for about an hour trying to figure out how to unlock the unifi ap from the wall mounting bracket to remove and move the device.
I just took the plunge to convert to a full unifi system currently using two asus routers.
One of the ports provides poe for powering and connecting an 802 3af device to the network.
Convert an ethernet wall jack into a dual band 802 11ac wi fi access point with two gigabit ethernet ports.
So if i were to place one on a ceiling i d want it near the center of the area i want to cover this is not necessarily the center of the entire area facing down.
I ve been using a us 8 60w switch for a week now and setup a raspberry pi to run the cloud key software.
I am afraid to use too much force and breaks the 4 plastic.
Now i need to unmount to touch up the hole i have drilled for the cat6 cable but the unifi ap ac is so tightly slotted into the bracket.
Hi i have mounted a unifi ap ac onto the ceiling mounting bracket with the cat6 cable connected.
If i were to wall mount i d want to mount it at the edge and facing inward of the area i want to cover.
I m new to the world of ubiquiti.
Is there a pin somewhere i need to depress to release the lock.
In order to release an ap slide a flat thin object firm zip ties are the community favorite into the locking notch of the ap opposite of the cable feed hole and twist counterclockwise.
The zip tie or similar needs to be firm enough to lift the latch away from the uap and allow the ap to twist.
Ideal for new or retrofit installations the unifi ac in wall is designed to convert an ethernet wall jack into a dual band 802 11ac wi fi access point with two gigabit ethernet ports.
I guess this depends somewhat on the directionality if any of the radio.
What are the pros and cons of the two options.
If you orient them on a wall they will radiate in the vertical.
