These mops are best for cleaning tile because sponge mops tend to push dirty. Slate tile floors can be cleaned with a mixture of warm water and mild detergent such as dish soap. For a superior concrete floor cleaner you can use soda. Use a clean cloth to blot the stain and clean it away.

You can add more or less to the water based on your preference. You begin the process by filling a bucket with warm water. Ceramic tiles may be resistant to dirt but sand and grit can dull the glazed surfaces. Clean up loose debris.

Choose the right floor mop. For tough set in stains mix water and 2 tablespoons of liquid laundry detergent together in a spray bottle. Step 4 combine cup white vinegar with 1 gallon warm water for cleaning especially dirty parquet floors. The tannic acid in tea creates a beautiful shine for hardwood floors.

After it sits scrub at the grout with the grout brush or another stiff brush. Do not use vinegar or chemicals on granite or marble tile floors. Clean tile with mild detergent and clean water using a rag or chamois type mop rather than a sponge mop. A large bottle of liquid laundry detergent fulfills most of your cleaning needs.

Use boiling water and two teabags to clean hardwood floors. Stay away from metal brushes as this can scratch your tile and pull out grout. Spray the solution onto the stain and let it sit for several minutes. Avoid cleaning products that contain lemon vinegar or other acidic substances.
